MAPLE LAM spent her first eleven years in Hong Kong before moving to Los Angeles. She graduated from University of California, Irvine with a degree in studio art and is currently working as both an illustrator and a designer.  She focuses on illustrating (and writing) children's book, and her design focus is in exhibits and events.

Inspiration often comes from books and travels.  She is an avid badminton player and plays actively during the summers.  She also loves visiting museums, where the muses reside.

Asides from her own blog, Maple also blogs on KidLitArtists, home of the SCBWI LA Illustration Portfolio Mentorship Program Winners.

She currently resides near Pasadena, California.
